From October 17-21, 2019, Liu Shuguo, Secretary General of CATA, led a team comprised of over 20 representatives from the major member entities of CATA Aviation Catering Branch to Milan, Italy, to participate in the International Food and Beverage Exhibition. Milan International Food and Beverage Exhibition is the most influential professional food and beverage exhibition in Italy, and is one of the largest exhibitions for hotel catering and food processing equipment and supplies in Europe. This exhibition is hosted by Milan International Exhibition Company every two years, attracting over 2000 related exhibitors from all over the world, covering an area of 100000 square meters.

During the exhibition, delegates learned a fresh and intuitive understanding of new concepts, technologies and equipment of the international food industry via active communication with exhibitors. Several member companies in the aviation food industry showed strong interest in the food processing and production equipment on exhibition, and reached initial intention to purchase.
CATA Delegation Visited Gate Gourmet
The delegation also visited Gate Gourmet near Milan airport and its production and processing workshop to learn about process management and new technology for production equipment. The head of Gate Gourmet traveled from Rome to Milan and warmly received CATA delegation, and accompanied the visit to introduce production and operation situation of the company in details.
Through this visit, major member entities of CATA Aviation Catering Branch have further expanded their horizons, captured the latest trends of international food industry, enhanced exchanges and communication among member entities, and enhanced synergy of CATA. It is agreed by all that organizing visits and exchanges is an important part of the work done by the CATA Aviation Catering Branch. Many of them have actively participated from the very beginning, and hope that CATA could continue to provide more opportunities like this.
