Chairman of CATA and IATA DG Meet in Beijing
----Reaching Consensus on Deepening Cooperation and Serving Members


On the morning of January 24, Chairman of China Air Transport Association (CATA) Li Jun met with a delegation led by Alexandre de Juniac, Director General and CEO of International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Beijing.


Chairman Li Jun started by welcoming the visit of DG Juniac ahead of Spring Festival and thanked for his attention to the development of China’s civil aviation, rendering support to cooperation between the two associations based on the MOU signed in 2014. He introduced the preparations for the development of “China Distribution & Settlement Solution” (CDS), indicating that the promotion of this project was endorsed and supported by member airlines and that CATA is ready to enter into friendly and cooperative relations with IATA.


DG Juniac extended his gratitude for Chairman Li’s warm and thoughtful arrangement for the meeting. He expressed IATA’s readiness to carry out in-depth cooperation with CATA, and its willingness to jointly push forward the distribution and settlement business. He proposed two associations to work out a timeline to efficiently promote related cooperation.


Both associations agreed to develop good working relationship based on serving members and mutual benefits, further seek pragmatic cooperation in the areas of research & consultation, professional training & organizing forums/symposia, etc.
