CATA and Its Russian Counterpart Held Talks on 2018 Plan of Joint Action
——Jointly Promoting Exchanges and Dialogue among ATM and Airlines


On May 23, 2018, CATA Executive Vice Chairman Pan Yixin and Secretary General Liu Shuguo held talks with ATOA Vice President Boris Karpovich, Deputy Executive Director Boris Shokurov and associates during the 3rd Beijing International Forum on Civil Aviation Safety. Relevant persons in charge of CATA attended the meeting.


Executive Vice Chairman Pan Yixin expressed thanks to ATOA for bringing member airlines and experts to the forum, and conveyed greetings from CATA Chairman Li Jun to ATOA President V.N. Tasun. He pointed out that CATA is ready to strengthen cooperation with ATOA, building communication and cooperation platforms for member airlines and entities so as to better protect their interests, and wished that regular communication mechanism will be established for regular exchanges.


Vice President Karpovich spoke highly of the success of the forum, and thanked CATA for the invitation to ATOA President V.N. Tasun and himself. He introduced work at ATOA and extended wish for deeper cooperation to promote air transport development of China and Russia by jointly holding seminar on topics of shared interests.


The two sides also had discussions on 2018 joint action plan. As a result, the two sides confirmed that a workshop on “navigation and air traffic management” will be jointly held in Russia in the second half of 2018, to facilitate China-Russia communications on air traffic management and experience sharing. During the workshop, dialogue will be organized between airlines and ATM entities, and experts from China and Russia will be invited to carry out academic exchanges on ATM technologies.
